Sporting beat Benfica and forced the fifth and decisive game in the futsal finalJune 13, 2019
Sporting beat Benfica 5-3 after extra time and drew the national team's 2-2 finals play-off final, forcing the fifth and decisive game.
Benfica were about a minute away from celebrating the national title when they won 3-2, but a Rocha goal at the last minute drew level and forced the extra time during which the lions scored two goals, by Rocha and Pany Varela, in the same minute 42.
Léo, in the six minutes, and Merlim, at 14, gave twice to Sporting advantage, Benfica answering for André Coelho (10), penultimate, and Chaguinha (24), with Fabio Cecílio, one minute and a half end of the game, to give the only advantage to the 'eagles' in the meeting and the possibility of the 'incarnates' regaining a title that runs from 2014/15.
The fifth and decisive game is disputed next Sunday, at 2:20 pm, in the Pavilion of Light.
