Norris excited for the first GP at homeJuly 9, 2019
The impressive Lando Norris is preparing for his first British Grand Prix, and he hopes his team can keep up the pace and secure more points.
Norris is enjoying a brilliant debut season in F1, scoring 22 points so far, a record only surpassed by his teammate Carlos Sainz, and the drivers of the three big teams.
Norris said: "Going to my first home race as an F1 driver means a lot to me. I've done many races there before in the junior formulas, but having a home race in Formula 1 is totally different. I can not wait to see all the fans, experience the atmosphere, and enjoy the weekend.
"The track itself is fast, fun and good to overtake, and I enjoyed my weekend there at F2 last year, especially when I passed two cars on turns 16 and 17."
"I hope we can do something similar this weekend. The most important goal is to keep up the good work, and keep pushing as much as possible for these points, "he concluded.
