In warm duel, Fortaleza and CSA tie at CastelãoJanuary 29, 2019
At the close of the second round of the Northeast Cup, Fortaleza and CSA played a warm duel and ended without goals. With the score, the Lion leads the Group A with four points. Azulão has reached both of them and is the sixth place in key B.
In the next round, the Fortress measures forces with Botafogo-PB, in João Pessoa. Meanwhile, the CSA faces Sampaio Corrêa, in São Luis do Maranhão.
As expected, the Fortaleza had more possession, but the team commanded by Rogério Ceni had little depth. On the other hand, the CSA was more objective and came close to the goal after Patrick Fabiano's header that stopped in Marcelo Boeck.
Supported by the fans, the Fortaleza only took a danger in a kick from outside the area. Edinho dropped the bomb and João Carlos had difficulty defending.
In the final stage the picture continued the same. The Lion struggled to pierce the rival defense and came just in kick from outside the area.
At the last blow, the Fortress called for a penalty in Éderson, but the judge turned a blind eye. At the last chance, Romarinho lifted in the area, the distance went away and Éderson dropped the bomb.
