Alligator rises category and faces Polish at UFC São Paulo; check outSeptember 11, 2019
Scheduled to take place on November 16, at Ibirapuera Gymnasium, UFC São Paulo has already confirmed its main fight. Former athlete of the lightweight category, Ronaldo Jacaré will rise to the light heavyweight and will face Jan Blachowicz in the main event of the edition. The information was confirmed by American ESPN following statement by Dana White, president of Ultimate.
At 39, Jacaré has a record of 26 wins and seven losses in professional MMA. In his last five fights, he was defeated by Robert Whittaker, Kelvin Gastelum and, most recently, Jack Hermansson, in April of this year. In 2018, the Jiu-Jitsu black belt beat Derek Brunson and Chris Weidman.
Three years younger than the Brazilian, Blachowicz has 24 wins and eight setbacks over his career in the sport. In his last performance, the Polish knocked out former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the second round, in combat held in July this year.
